Advance. Paintings and painting objects by Andreas Hildebrandt

In the "Projektraum Neue Galerie" we are presenting paintings and, for the first time, painting objects by Andreas Hildebrandt.
"Vorstoß" refers to the inspirational subject area of this conceptual work: similar to his previous work with façade structures, walls, fences or surface designs, Andreas Hildebrandt is now exploring the insignia of forestry and mining. What links these new works with his previous work is the strategy of the painterly declination of simple forms, in this case simple signs such as year boards, survey markers or hiking trail signs. Andreas Hildebrandt (born 1973 in Dresden) studied at the HfBK Dresden between 1997 and 2004, most recently as a master student of Ralf Kerbach.
