With his delicate objects, Christoph Rodde creates poetic structures that react sensitively to their surroundings. For example, they can be fitted into the corners of rooms and niches. Christoph Rodde has been invited to use the project space of the Städtische Galerie, which he perceives as an architectural "appendix". Using drawings and three-dimensional objects, he will scrutinise this space for its coherence, design it and condense it.
Born in Arnsberg in 1968, the artist studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts and was later an artistic assistant to professors Ulrike Grossarth and Martin Honert.
