
Claus Weidensdorfer is one of the most important draughtsmen of his generation. Following his teachers Hans Theo Richter and Max Schwimmer, he has worked almost exclusively as a draughtsman and graphic artist since the 1950s. from 1992 to 1997, he worked as a professor at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, since when he has worked as a freelance artist, continuing his work in an astonishingly fresh way. in 2014, he was honoured with the Hans Theo Richter Prize of the Saxon Academy of Arts.
Our exhibition provides an overview of the artist's work with the drawing pencil from the 1950s to the present day.
