Since 1996, the Dresden Foundation for Art & Culture of the Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden has awarded two project scholarships for master students of the HfBK Dresden every year. For the fifth time, this scholarship also includes an exhibition in the project space of the Städtische Galerie Dresden. Lutz Bleidorn and Stefan Krauth, the 2011 scholarship holders, are now presenting their work from last year to the public.
Lutz Bleidorn is a master student of Elke Hopfe. With a romantic eye and mystical, sometimes surreal elements, he filters what he has experienced and seen into "inner images". His leitmotif and overarching theme is the landscape.
Stefan Krauth has been a master student of Ralf Kerbach since 2010. In his photographic works, he "medialises" photos he has taken himself by photographing them from monitor images and alienating them with smoke, dust and camera flashes. Poetic and fictional image titles complete the reinterpretation process.
