The Dresden Foundation for Art & Culture of the Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden traditionally awards the Hegenbarth Scholarship to two outstanding young artists from the Dresden University of Fine Arts. Manuel Frolik and André Schulze, the 2012 Hegenbarth scholarship holders, presented their works in the Neue Galerie at the end of the programme. André Schulze showed paintings that deal with the theme of the inhospitality and unreality of living and landscape spaces, Manuel Frolik sculptures and installations.
