Otto Griebel (1895 - 1972) was one of the most important Dresden artists of the 1920s and yet is known to most Dresdeners less for his art than for his collected memoirs "I was a man of the street". Our special exhibition attempts to reconstruct Griebel's oeuvre as a whole. The majority of his works fell victim to the destruction of Dresden in 1945. Nevertheless, we are presenting an opulent selection of more than one hundred paintings, drawings and graphic works from the period between 1914 and 1971. The exhibition is accompanied by the publication of a complete catalogue raisonné of Griebel's work
