Pietro Sabatelli (born 1979) approaches fundamental philosophical questions conceptually, meticulously and with great effort. He finds a pointed and materially and aesthetically sophisticated, reduced visual language. His picture surfaces are particularly elaborate, made from specially produced colour pigments or layers of synthetic resin.
