Stephanie Laeger's artistic work focuses on the depiction of human faces, for which she found her working tools of ink and paper just over ten years ago. She breaks up the spontaneity and lightness of the ink brushstrokes by continually wiping out, erasing and pasting over damaged areas of paper. The surfaces of the heavy watercolour papers she uses thus become moving landscapes, mirrors of the emotional agitation of the people portrayed.
The exhibition by Elke Hopfe's former master student includes works created over the last six years.
