With the important visual artist and multi-award-winning director Strawalde / Jürgen Böttcher (*1931), the Städtische Galerie is focussing on a creative volcano.
His paintings, drawings, overpaintings, collages and films take shape in a searching, dancing and lustful process that the artist himself experiences as an adventure. His work is finally being presented in a major solo museum exhibition in Dresden - the city where he began his career as a student and teacher.
