The colourful fantasy shapes by artist Veit Hofmann are like the delicate blossoms of anemones. In 2002, the Dresden painter and graphic artist first arranged the pictorial forms covered with silk or Japanese paper and then painted to create a mobile-like installation.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Städtische Galerie, over 150 of his pictorial objects, known as "Anemophiles", were grouped together to form a mobile-like installation and float through the museum's stairwell as a cheerful round dance. Come by and experience the colourful interplay of representational and abstract images.
