Frank Lippold belongs to the generation of artists who, still socialised in the GDR, studied at the HfBK Dresden during the upheaval of the 1990s. His artistic position is characterised by a classical concept of the image and a solid artistic training in craftsmanship, but also by the themes and questions of modernism.
