About H. G. Griese
H. G. Griese (*1964), studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from 1967-1995 and has been active as a freelance artist in the city ever since. Originally characterised by figurative depictions, Griese increasingly turned to constructive abstraction in the course of his artistic development. His works are characterised by a clear formal language and an exploration of geometric structures and surfaces. With precise lines and a subtle understanding of colour, he creates works that oscillate between order and dynamism, always leaving room for interpretation. Griese's art reflects a deep interest in the balance between structure and artistic freedom.
