With the artist Christine Schlegel (born 1950 in Crossen), the Städtische Galerie Dresden is focussing on the works of a bustling, versatile and powerful artist. Her oeuvre encompasses a wide range of materials and genres, so that the exhibition presents paintings, drawings, overpaintings, collages, artist's books and films.
About Christine Schlegel
Christine Schlegel studied painting and graphic art at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts from 1973 to 1978. She moved to East Berlin in 1984. Two years later she travelled to West Berlin via Amsterdam. She has lived and worked in Dresden since 2001.
